BIVONGI BIANCO
White common wine produced with Malvasia, Mantonico, Greco and
Grecone grapes in the area of Bivongi, Camini, Monasterace, Pazzano,
Placanica, Riace, Stignano and Stilo, in Reggio Calabria’s province.
BIVONGI ROSSO
Red common wine produced with grapes of the local vines in Bivongi,
Camini, Monasterace, Pazzano, Placanica, Riace, Stignano and Stilo,
(Reggio Calabria). GRECO BIANCO D.O.C.
The production area consists of Bianco’s territory and, in part, the
one of Casignana. Greco di Bianco is a yellow coloured wine, with a
tendency toward a golden shade, of alcoholic smell, ethereal,
characteristic, of soft taste, warm, armoniuos, with a typical back
taste and a minimum alcoholic gradation of 17 cc.%. It’s obtained by
the pressing of Greco di Bianco grapes, to which is possible to add,
5% of white grapes produced in different vines, as long as they are
reccomended or authorized by the province.
The wine Greco di Bianco is a very valuable wine, born from a
particular and delicate technique that makes it a great dessert
wine. GRECO DI BIANCO
Formerly called “Greco di Gerace”. Valuable and rare dessert wine,
is produced with greco di bianco grapes. It has a yellow luminous
colour with amber shades, characteristic smell, very fine and
intense that reminds of orange flowers; sweet taste when young and
delicately dry as it gets old. KALIPEA
Rosè wine produced in the Kalipea district, in the Locri area, with
Mantonico, Malvasia di Sicilia, Gaglioppo, Negrello and Trebbiano
grapes. Its color is in between golden yellow and light pink,
delicate scent, dry and well armonious taste. MANTONICO
Extremely rare dessert wine, is produced in Bianco and Bovalino,
(Reggio Calabria).
