The Greco di Bianco D.O.C., pride of the entire
area, is considered one of the most precious italian dessert wines,
usually used to accompany dried and almond based pastries.
Born from the omonimous grape it comes from Greece, from where it
seems was imported in the VIII centuryB.C. Obtained by grape
produced in the territory of Bianco and in parts of Casignana, it
was called “Greco di Gerace” before that Bianco, once Gerace’s
district, became an indipendent town. Obtained from naturally dried
grapes, it presents a yellow-golden colour, an intense scent that
reminds of orange flowers and a characteristic back taste.
