The Tyrrhenian coastline area constitutes a great
panoramic and cultural heritage. The terraces built on the hills
that overhang the sea, witness a unique connection between man and
nature in overcoming the steep grounds and in using the benign
effects of the sea, but they also give prospect to valuable
initiatives of development for the preservation of the ground and
the improvement in the production of specific cultivations. Costa
Viola ows its name to the reflections of light that, especially when
the sun sets, colour the sparkling sea. Just a few meters in and
deep into the sea the depths look like a real submerged paradise
with caves and sponge colonies, oasis of Poseidon. An almost
untouched habitat that is home to many fish and mollusc species.
